Leona Beatty

Leona D. Beatty passed away Sunday February 14, 2021 at 11:50am at Ascension Oaks Nursing Home. She was 98 years old a native and resident of Gonzales, LA. She was a retired bookkeeper with Fidelity Bank. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, and the Local Chapter of AARR. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at Ascension Funeral Home on Thursday February 18, 2021 from 10:30am to 12:45pm with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church at 1:OOpm celebrated by Fr. Eric V. Gyan, burial in Hope Haven Garden of Memory. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Amos Nichols, and Adrian Beatty; parents, Paul and Virginie Duplessis; three sisters, Evelyn Duplessis, Leola Babin and Sybile Moore; four brothers, Carbert, Russell, Joseph (Rip), Jerome (Joe) Duplessis.
