Lena Aime

Lena Mae Aime, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:15 p.m. at the Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. A resident of St. Amant, LA and native of Bayou Goula, LA. Visiting at St. Anne Catholic Church, Sorrento, LA on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Keun-Soo Lee. Burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her daughter, Joni Holaway and husband, Mike; three sons, Ronnie Aime, Michael Aime and fiancée, Annette Knoepke, and Marty Aime and wife, Vicki; two sisters, Jennie Medine and Marie Caruso; nine grandchildren, Jessica Walker and husband, Matthew, Joey Holaway, Jacob Holaway and wife, Amber, Logan Aime, Seth Aime, Ryan Aime, Laura Aime, Leah Aime, and Jacob Aime; and three great grandchildren, Hayes and Nash Holaway, Charlee Mae Walker and her sister to be born in October. Preceded in death by her husband, John Gilbert; her parents, Philip and Mary Messina; sisters, Olivia Young and Virginia Granier; and brothers, Joseph, Peter Charles, and Anthony Messina. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
