Lee Bercegeay Pansano, passed peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 3:40 p.m. at the age of 84. She will be truly missed but will live in our memories forever. She was born November 4, 1934 in Gonzales, LA. She was a graduate of Gonzales High School, and worked at the Pants Factory, and T G & Y Family Center. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m. conducted by Pastor Steve Berger. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales. She is survived by daughters, Nita Mitchell and Terry Babin (Dale); granddaughters, Alissa Sholar (Brian) and Stacey Holland; grandson, Brandon Babin; great grandchildren, Claire and Cade Sholar; brother, Fabian Bercegeay (Cheryl); sister-in-law, Nell Bercegeay; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry and the immediate family members of the Pansano family; mother and father, Selma (Duplessis) and Constant Bercegeay Sr.; brothers, Constant Jr. and Bernard Bercegeay (Mary); and sister, Marie Hebert. Pallbearers are Brandon Babin, David Starkey, Curt Starkey, Brian Sholar, Wade Woodward, Colby Hebert, Travis Acosta, Stacey Holland and honorary pallbearer, Cade Sholar. She was a member of VFW Post 3693 and American Legion Post 81. We would like to thank Island Enterprise, Dr. Cary Aguillard, Dr. Robinson, and the staff at Gonzales Healthcare Center, especially Ms. Deloris for all the help with our loving mother.
