Kathleen Gomez Garrene, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2:00 a.m. at The Crossing of Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. A resident of Donaldsonville, LA and native of White Castle, LA., she retired from the L.S.U. Athletic Department after 34 years of service. Visiting at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 818 W. Tenth St., Hwy. 1, Donaldsonville, LA on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral rite outside of mass at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Ju Hyung (Paul) Yi. Survived by her daughter, Holly Rayne; son, Austin Garrene; three sisters, Mary Anne Smith, Angela G. Capone and husband, Carl, and EveAnna Gomez; five brothers, Randy G. Gomez and wife, Joyce, Edmond J. Gomez Jr. and wife, Bonnie, Wayne A. Gomez and wife, Katie, Lionel F. Gomez and wife, Rose, and Terry J. Gomez and wife, Debbie; and one granddaughter, Madeline Graham. Preceded in death by her mother and father, EveAnna and Edmond J. Gomez Sr.; and a nephew, Christian Gomez.
