Kathleen Johnson Arledge, resident of Satsuma, Louisiana, left this life and stood before Jesus on May 28, 2017, two days prior to her 85th birthday. Born at home in El Dorado, Arkansas on May 30, 1932, she grew up in Ruston, Louisiana and graduated from Ruston High School in 1950. She married Wesley John Arledge of Corbin, Louisiana on September 23, 1958. She is survived by her only son and his family Rev. Wesley Steven (Steve) Arledge, his amazing wife Lisa Gale Sauls Arledge, their daughters Megan Elise, Stephanie Danielle, and Victoria Grace Arledge; a sweet and devoted sister, Norma Jean Johnson Bazar, her faithful dog, Penny, and a great host of family, friends, and acquaintances. She was a member of Springville Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowshipping with other Christians at Walker Baptist, New Beginnings Baptist, and Satsuma Baptist churches. She was formerly employed at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Livingston Parish School Board. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Wesley John Arledge; her parents Walter William (Bear) Johnson (d. 1965) and Annie Pearl Causey Johnson (d. 1993); and siblings Gracy May (d. 1914), William Rutledge (d. 1925), Cpl. Harvel Daniel (KIA WWII 1945), Dorothy Pearl Johnson Courtney (d. 1952) and Paul Lawrence (d. 2010). Services will be held at Springville Baptist Church on Saturday, June 3rd with visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.; Rev. Steve Arledge and Rev. Charles Ray Smith officiating. Burial at Satsuma Baptist Cemetery.
