Karen Laiche

A resident of Gonzales, she died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was 66. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 10 am until 12 noon. Religious services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12pm. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Galvez. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law; Paul Naquin, Jr., Codie Naquin, Sr. and wife Jennie and Danny Naquin and wife Linda, three sisters; Carole Bercegeay, Joan Diez and Patricia Hicks, four grandchildren; Paul Naquin, III, Robyn Naquin, Codie Naquin, Jr. and Laci Naquin and a great grandson, Paul Naquin, IV and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Naquin, Sr. husband, Rodderick Laiche, her parents, Vernon Eugene Smith and Myrtle Smith Choate, a son, Vernon Eugene Naquin and her sister Myrtle Gautreau. www.ascensionfuneral.com
