She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Farris and Ruth (Acey) Farris and brother, Ray Farris and sister, Estelle Jones.

She is survived by sons, Hardy “Dewayne” McKinney of Saint Amant, LA and Samuel “JayBird” Mckinney of Fallon, NV; grandchildren, Gwendolyn Michelle McKinney-Robinett, Michael Duane McKinney, Rebecca Jo McKinney-Davila, Raven Rose McKinney, Kyle McKinney of Sultan, WA, Kory McKinney of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandchildren; Thaddeus Robinett, Landon Robinett, Rashaun Washington, Jayden McKinney, Brayden McKinney, Jacen Davila, Bella Davila, Brandon Davila, Jaqueline Davila, Kayden McKinney, Peyton McKinney and Atticus McKinney; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The memorial service for Karen will be held at New River Baptist Church, 45270 Highway 429, St. Amant LA 70774, Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 9:30 am.
