Joseph Moran

Moran, Joseph Camille (J.C.) passed away at his home in St. Amant, LA on August 31, 2015, at the age of 89. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy and a retired auto mechanic. Visiting will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, LA from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Michael Galea. Interment into Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gertie Mae Babin Moran; two stepdaughters who were his caregivers, Stephanie Norwood and spouse, Gary, Mona Moran and lifetime partner, Cathy (Choppa) Foret; stepson, David A. Moran. His children, Kathy Allen and spouse, Ron, Mike Moran and spouse, Connie, Bobby Moran and spouse, Joann, Elieen, Linda, Steve Moran; 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Argelie Bourgeois, Ruth Braud and spouse, Calvin, Theresa Savoy and spouse, Joe, Bernandine Moran and spouse, Thomas; and sister-in-law, Eva Moran. He is preceded by his parents Albert and Ursule Bourgeois Moran; sisters, Rena Nigg and Rita Gautreau; brothers, Alex, John, Morris, Andrew, and Albert Jr. Moran. Pallbearers will be Tobie Moran, Jared Moran, Bradley Norwood, Paul French Jr., Robert "Buddy" Combel Jr., and David Moran. Honorary pallbearer, Gary Norwood.
