Joseph James Jr.

April 1, 1937 — March 25, 2012


A retired butcher, resident of St. Amant and native of Gonzales,
he died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at his residence. He was 74
and a United States Navy Cold War veteran,. Visiting at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, St. Amant, on
Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 9 a.m. Until Mass of Christian
Burial at 11 a.m. Conducted by the Rev. Jon Koehler. Entombment
in Holy Rosary Mausoleum. Survived by his loving wife of 49
years, Gloria Bourgeois James daughter Tess James Bourgeois
two sons, Thad James and Trevor James and wife Kristy one
sister, Sadie Mire two brothers, Gerald James and Hubert
QBall James and wife Catherine six grandchildren, Tate
Joesph Bourgeois, Bradly James Brecheen, Devin James Braud,
Brennan Parrino, Dominick Parrino and Kallen James one
greatgrandchild, Noahh Brecheen., Preceded in death by his
parents, Joseph Emmett James, Sr. and Velda Arceneaux James
two sisters, Lois M. Bourque, Shirley Ann Richard sisterinlaw,
Joanne Brown James and one Godchild, Aliska Gonzales. Pallbearers
will be the grandchildren and former soninlaw, Julius J. Borugeois
Jr. He was and active parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was a member of the VFW Post 3693. In his spare time he
enjoyed gardening and cooking. Condolences may be offered at
