Johnny Normand Sr.

Johnny Paul Normand Sr., a native of Plaucheville, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at 6:30 a.m. He was 62 years old and employed by GEO Heat Exchangers of Geismar, LA, for the past 15 years, where he was loved and respected by all. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy Wilson Normand; one son, “T J” Johnny Paul Normand Jr. and wife, Nicole Bourgeois Normand and their children, Byron Anthony Normand, Christian Isiah Normand, and Chase Joseph Normand; two daughters, Mindy Normand Guidry and husband, Chris Guidry, and Casey Normand Payne and husband, Timmy Payne and their children, Olivia Michelle Payne and Aubrey Marie Payne; and four brothers, Cornell Normand, Meldric Normand, Marcell Normand, and Mark Normand and wife, Dianne. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Beulah Byrd Normand; and a daughter, Wendy Lynn Normand Pryer. Johnny was a very dedicated, hardworking, loving husband, father, and grandfather, and gave his life to the Lord and attended Victory Temple Church. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visiting on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor James May.
