June 20, 1951 — September 6, 2014
John Lawton Johnson, age 63, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his home. A resident and native of Gonzales, LA. He was a retired electrician and an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 10 a.m. until chapel service at 1 p.m. conducted by Pastor Malcolm Richard. Burial at the Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. Survived by his wife, Judy Johnson two sons: Jeremy P. Johnson and Brent Vezinat daughter, Daresha Murrell three sisters: Sheila Halker, Linda Braud, and Kathy Sanders six grandchildren: Jaida, Jacie, Madisyn, Ashleigh, Christian, and Drew. Memorial donations can be made to help with the funeral expenses.
