John Dupuy

A resident of LaPlace and a native of Prairieville, he passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner at the age of 81. The visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home Chapel, 426 West New River Street in Gonzales from 6 pm until 9 pm Thursday, January 20, 2011 and 9:30 am until services at 11:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73 in Prairieville, on January 21, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maudry Albarado Dupuy, two daughters, Patricia Dupuy, Marlene Meades and husband Flavious Meades III, four sisters, Ouida Logarbo, Betty Brown, Geraldine Duplessis, and Willie Kimble, one brother, Elton Dupuy and two granddaughters, Natalie Meades Keating and Chelsea Dupuy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enoh Dupuy and Lillian Ambeau Dupuy and two sisters, Lorida Poppiti and Joanne East. He was a retired Technical Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force Special Services. In his spare time, he loved to fish and tend to his garden. Condolences may be offered at www.ascensionfuneral.com.
