John Gautreau

A resident of Gonzales, he died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit. He was 76. A visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, Friday, June 10, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, Saturday, June 11, from 8 am. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Jon Koehler. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Tammy Loupe and husband Joey and two sons, Kevin Gautreau and wife Sandi, and Jeff Gautreau. He was the guardian of Adele, Michael and Catherine. He is also survived by two sisters, Rita Gautreaux and husband John Billy and Jeannie Lambert and husband Edmond four brothers, Felton Flute, Edward Tut and wife Italia, Barney, and Kern and wife Iris nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Geraldine Duplessis Deanie Gautreau parents, Allie and Vivian Braud Gautreau his sister Verla Lambert and his brother, Nelson Gautreau.
