John Bourgeois Jr

John B. Bourgeois, 84, native and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. He is a retiree of Ormet Corp. and veteran of the U.S. Navy. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 429 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Tuesday at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am conducted by Rev. Eric V. Gyan. Internment following at Hope Haven Garden of Memory.
Survived by two daughters, Karen B. Daniel and husband, Tim Daniel, Patricia A. Bourgeois three sons, Blain P. Bourgeois Sr., Ken Bourgeois and wife, Dannay Bourgeois, David K. Bourgeois and wife, Therese Lieux Bourgeois one brother, Lionel Bourgeois nine grandchildren, Blain Bourgeois Jr. , Ryan and Memorie Bourgeois, Kattie Daniel, James Dwyer, Mark Jr., Jamie, Dean and Jessica Elwood and seven greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Bertha Bootsie Quirk Bourgeois parents, John B. and Winnie S. Bourgeois sister, Marie Bourgeois Rome. He was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 2657. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, especially Christine, Megan and Emma.
