Joan Remmers

A resident of Gonzales, she died late Friday, April 17, 2009 at Lakewood Quarters Rehabilitation Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was 73. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 5pm until 9pm and again on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 beginning at 9am. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial will follow in Hope Haven Cemetery on Hwy 30, Gonzales. She is survived by her four sons; Daniel May, Jr. and Mary Kay, Richard and Sharon May, Kenneth May and Brian May, two brothers; Reynolds Boy Moran and Charles Boogie Moran, three sisters; Lorraine Frederic, Jeniva Finger and Jenell Melancon, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillian Moran, husband, Herbert E. Remmers, Jr. Pallbearers will be; Mark Aucoin, Manuel May, Daniel May, Jr. , Richard May, Brian May and Kenneth May.
