Jo Anne May Cannon, aged 74, passed away peacefully at her home on May 29 ,2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was survived by her daughter, Heather Cannon Villenurve; three granddaughters, Dr. Laney Bellow, Kimber Villenurve, and Jolie Kel Villenurve; her brothers, James (Patricia) May and Randy (Angela) May; her best fur friend, Hallie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cline May and Hazel Villar May.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jo Anne’s life at Victory Temple Church at 41200 Hwy 933 in Prairieville, LA. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. The family extends their gratitude to everyone who visited, prayed with, and supported Jo Anne during her final months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family through Victory Temple to assist with expenses.
