Jeffrey Gautreau

A resident of Prairieville, he died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at his home. He was 48 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Monday, March 28, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 La. 73, Prairieville, on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by his mother, JoAnn Gautreau three brothers, Craig Gautreau and wife Alison, Lane Gautreau and wife Tracey, of Gonzales, and Chad Gautreau, of Prairieville three nephews, two nieces, two greatnephews and a greatniece. Preceded in death by his father, Alex Gautreau paternal and maternal grandparents brother, John Gautreau and uncle, Glenn Mayers. Pallbearers will be Landon Gautreau, Michael Gautreau, Leah Gautreau, Brent Vezinat, Bernie Bayham Jr., Jeffrey Babin, Neal Dunbar and Nickliff Mayers. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Gautreau, Ryan Gautreau, Lane Gautreau and Craig Gautreau. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish and watch NASCAR.
