James Thomassie

A resident of Gonzales, he died early Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his home. He was 64. He was the owner of Darnels Plumbing in Gonzales. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 5pm until 9pm at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales. Visitation on Wednesday will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church beginning at 9am. Rev. Rubin Reynolds will celebrate a mass of Christian burial at 11am. Interment will follow in Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of fortyfour years, Alonia Duplessis Thomassie, daughter, Angela Taylor and husband Barry, two sons, Chad and Paul Thomassie, two sisters, Beverly Albarado and Irma Mikell, a brother, Terrell Thomassie, five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin and Rita Thomassie and his brother, Vinnie Thomassie. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales. www.ascensionfuneral.com
