James Richardson

alignleftA resident and native of St. Amant, he died at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2008. He was 71 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmie later retired out of the International Operators Union, Local 406. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2pm until 5m. Visitation on Monday will begin at 9am with religious services to be held in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial services will be private. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Steve Piercy, son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Billie Richardson, sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Curtis Causey, brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Catherine Richardson, seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Bill and Nina Richardson, son, Michael Richardson, grandson, Scotty Greenlee, Jr. and his sister, Nina Lou Richardson.
