Ivy J. "Plucker" Duplessis, age 83, passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gonzales, LA. A former resident of Baker, LA, resident of St. Gabriel, LA and native of Dutchtown, LA. A Navy veteran during the Korean War and was retired from James Rivers. Visiting at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3625 LA-75, St Gabriel, LA, on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Charlie Landry. Interment in St. Gabriel Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by his three sons, Danny Duplessis, Kenny Duplessis, and Brian Duplessis and wife, Eugenie; one daughter, Theresa Duplessis; two step daughters, Loretta Lynn Coile and husband, Randall and Carla Tarver; one sister, Marie Bordelon and husband, Richard; one brother, O. J. Duplessis and wife, Eva; three grandsons, Danny Clyde Duplessis and wife, Kristie, Michael Duplessis, and David Duplessis; three great granddaughters, McKenzie, McKayla, and Lacey Duplessis; two step grandsons, Ryan Granger and Austin Granger and wife, Brittney; two step great grandchildren, Kane Granger and Hope Granger; two sisters-in-law, Grace Duplessis and Lelia Duplessis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Duplessis; parents, Theofield and Eunice Duplessis; two brothers, Julian Duplessis and Jimmy Duplessis; and sister and brother-in-law, Ida Mae and Charlie Coon.
