Irma Torstenson

A resident of Maurepas, she died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was 85. Visitation will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Hwy 22 in Maurepas, on Monday, September 15, 2008 beginning at 1 pm. Rev. Ruben Reynolds will celebrate the mass of Christian burial at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in Whitehall Cemetery in Maurepas. She is survived by two daughters; Dianne T. Bazile and husband Wendell, Barbara T. Poche and husband Ray, son, Wade Torstenson and wife, Linda, all of Maurepas, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a sister. Arrangements are handled under the direction of Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales.
