Horace J. Treuil Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:49 a.m. A resident of Baton Rouge, LA. and native of Port Allen, LA. He was a U. S. Marine during the Korean War and retired as a boilermaker. Visiting at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until Rite of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Burial at Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and was known as the Rosary Man for making thousands of string rosaries and giving them away. Survived by his wife, Patricia A. Treuil; two daughters, Elvina Jeffers and Marilyn Treuil; two sons, John Treuil Jr., and Thomas Treuil; two sisters, Elaine DeLatin and Carolyn Blanchard; and ten grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Lucius Frank and Noemie Mary Treuil; sisters, Gladys Ryan and Mary Slaven; and brothers, Clifton, Willie, and L. J. Treuil.
