Homer W. Watts Jr., age 81, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 a.m. at Promise Hospital of Baton Rouge. A native and resident of Gonzales, LA and former resident of Plaucheville, LA. He retired from Burnside Terminal and was a member of the International Longshoreman Association Local 3033. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Visiting on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Michael Glaze. Burial at Household of Faith Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Jo Ann Arbour Watts; three step daughters, Coleen Owens Grace and husband, Keith Cunningham, Maryann Turner Glaze and husband, Lane, and Bobbie Sue Turner Hancock and husband, Danny; step daughter-in-law, Barbara Babin; four step sons, Wayne A. Turner and wife, Judy, Robert D. Turner and former wife, Birgit, Kenneth J. Turner and wife, Kathy, and Barry J. Turner and wife, Becky, twenty grandchildren, Chad Grace, Tannon Grace, Jason Owens, Christy Owens, Jamee Klipstein, Michael Glaze, Ryan Glaze, Mikki Hancock, Mark Hancock, Nicole Turner, Sean Turner, Jonathan Turner, Joseph Turner, Laura Turner, Lance Turner, Olivia Turner, Daniel Turner, Anthony Turner, Andrew Turner, and Rebecca Turner; and thirteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Homer W. Sr. and Mabel D. Watts; two step sons, Teddy Wayne Owens, and Shelby C. Turner Jr.; two sisters, Edith Nickens and Juanita Watts; and a brother, Chris W.
