Homer left home at 16 to attend Texas AM University and graduated in 1951. He met the love of his life, Loraine Dora Stone, to whom he was faithfully and lovingly devoted for 57 years. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word and served as a role model to everyone in his life. He was honorable and gracious in his work and family life. Homer was a fun and dedicated father, and his sense of humor certainly helped him survive in a household of four women. Throughout his life he remained an expert craftsman. Slow was his response when asked how he was doing though his firm handshake confirmed his strength of will. He bestowed a legacy of devotion and kindness that will live on in the children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren he left behind. His children Barbara and Curtis Boney, Mary Grant and Lillian Broussard, his grandchildren Kathleen and Duane Blank, Annie and Chris Cavanaugh, Andrew Boney, Ben Labbe, Casey Boney, Mallory Domingue, Daniel Broussard and Grant Broussard and his great grandchildren Koen Blank, Aidan Labbe and Stephen Cavanaugh. Homer was 80 years old and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
