Hilda Thorsby Baker Evans

Hilda Thorsby Baker Evans passed away on November 25, 2025, in Baton Rouge. She was born in Beeston, Nottingham, England on November 3, 1933. She was raised during World War II.

She met and married Gerald Baker and had three children, Melvyn Baker (Ann), Debra Elkins (Tim), and Tracy Langlois (John). She then married Delbert Delano Evans and had 2 stepchildren, Dena Petty (Todd) and Randy Evans.

She left behind her grandchildren, Derek (Jessica), Britney (Brock), Lindsey (Dylan), Andrew, Trace (Chelcie), Gabriel, Bryce (Jordan), and Lexie.

Hilda loved life and loved to travel. She has been around the world more than once.

A graveside service for Hilda will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 5, 2025, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.

A reception will follow at 17912 Heritage Estates Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
