HERMINIE MARCHAND SHEETS

Herminie Marchand Sheets, a native of Acy, LA, she died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Gonzales Healthcare Center. She was 89 years old. She was the daughter of Armand Marcel Marchand and Louise Landry of Acy, and wife of deceased Donald M. Sheets, Sr. One sister survives her, Bertha Marchand, who resides also in the Gonzales Healthcare Center. Survivors include seven children; Shirley Sheets Russell, Harold C. Sheets, Thomas J. Sheets, Gerald B. Sheets, Louise Sheets Donegan, Donald M. Sheets, Jr. and Brent J. Sheets; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 6pm until 9pm and again on Thursday from 9am until 10:30am at the funeral home. The mass of Christian burial will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy 426, St. Amant on Thursday morning at 11am with entombment to follow in the church cemetery.
