Herbert J. Guillory, passed away peacefully on, Thursday, November 23, 2017 (Thanksgiving Day) at 5:53 p.m. at his home in Dutchtown, LA. He was 84 years old, born on March 5, 1933 in Point Blue, LA and native of Gonzales, LA. He retired as a diesel mechanic. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Sunday, November 26, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visiting on Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, LA, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Interment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, LA. Survived by his two daughters, Alena Dale "Nouchie" White and husband, Craig, and Tracey Faye Guillory; three sons, Joseph Guillory and wife, Tammy, William "Billy" Guillory and wife, Josette, and Gary Guillory and wife, Andree`; six grandchildren, C. J. White and wife, Erica, Monique Babin and husband, Josh, Reed Guillory and wife, Amy, Justin Guillory, Elise Guillory, and Madison Guillory; and six great grandchildren, Kaylee, Brantley, Beau, Ann, Eric, and Grace. Preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Cormier Guillory; parents, Nelson and Alena Guillory; an infant granddaughter, Lisa; and two sisters, Ida Rider and Cavel Duplechain.
