Guy L. McFarland, Jr., 77, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was called to be with the Lord on October 26, 2026. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Born in Enid, Oklahoma, to parents Guy Sr. and Norlean McFarland. Guy was a U.S. Navy Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Guy co-founded Space Cowboy Productions, Inc. with his good friends, bringing country music jamborees and unforgettable live performances to the old Baton Rouge fairgrounds. He had an incredible ear for talent, booking artists like Willie Nelson long before they became famous.

He loved bass fishing, playing golf, and recounting stories from his colorful life. Above all, he was a loving husband, proud father, devoted brother and son, and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary McFarland; his daughters, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, and Lauren McFarland; and his sister, Cindy Brumfield.

A celebration of life service will take place, date and time will be updated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge
