Grace Temple

Grace Letulle Tureau Temple, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gonzales, LA at 7:02 p.m. A resident of Lake, LA and native of Central, LA (St. James Parish). In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. She and Marsette enjoyed traveling to visit family. Visiting at Lake Sacred Heart Chapel, 45049 Lake Martin Rd., Prairieville, LA on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by the Very Rev. Jason P. Palermo. Interment at Lake Community Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Brenda Tureau (New Orleans) and Marlyn Templet and husband, Wayne (St. Amant); two stepdaughters, Margaret Usry and husband, Curtis (St. Francisville) and Faye McKey (MS); son, Jerry Tureau and wife, Susan; former daughter-in-law, Janine Brown; three sisters, Glory Schexnaydre, Margarie Troxclair and husband, Harrison, and Elta Mae Simon; brother, Emile Letulle and wife, Gee; four grandchildren, Keith Templet (St. Amant), Kevin Templet (St. Amant), Jason Tureau and wife, Mindy (Madison, WI), Justin Tureau and wife, Heather (Arnaudville, LA); great grandchildren, sisters, Natalie Tureau and Jolie Tureau; and other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, J. D. Tureau Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Josephine Tureau; sisters-in-law, Agnes (Emile) Cornett and Rita (Spelmar) Wall; brothers-in-law, Placide (Velma) Tureau and Ernest (Ronie) Tureau; second husband, Marsette Temple; step daughter, Belinda Bearb; step son-in-law, Jack McKey; parents, Ernest and Roberta Letulle; sisters, Maud (Wilbert) Chauvin, Delores (George) Schnexnayder Sr., and Mercedes (Lawrence) Simon; brothers-in-law, Vincent Simon and Julian Schexnaydre; and brothers, Robert and Wilbert Letulle.
