Gladys Kendrick

A native of French Settlement and a resident of Gonzales LA. She passed away Sunday, March 30, 2013, at Heritage Manor at the age of 88. She was a retired clerical worker for Vulcan Chemicals. Gladys was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies Society as well as other social groups. Her passion was painting, the more notable were portraits of antebellum homes and flowers. She is survived by her sister Lenora Webb, son James Harold Skipper Kendrick and wife Becky and granddaughter Jamie, son Richard Landry Dickey Kendrick, grandchildren Krystal Sauceman and husband Bill, great granddaughter Aubree, grandson Randall Kendrick and wife Alicia, great grandchildren Jade, Morgan and Braylee, daughter Mary Loren Kendrick, grandson Joey Blake Cornett and wife Dawn, great grandchildren Jayla, Jenna and Joel, grandson Jeff Cornett. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Prudent and Louise Brignac, brother Jack Landry, son Eddie Kendrick, and grandson Jamon Cornett. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St. Gonzales, La 70737 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 2, 2014.
