Geraldine Gautreau

A resident of Gonzales, she died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 66. An all-night visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, from 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, until 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Jon Koehler will be the celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by her husband of 43 years, John E. Coonie Gautreau; two sons, Kevin Gautreau and his wife, Sandi, and Jeff Gautreau; and daughter, Tammy Loupe and husband Joey. She was the guardian of Adele, Michael and Catherine; two sisters, Jeanette Duplessis and Janice Molliere; two brothers, Gerald Heck Duplessis and Gayle Duplessis; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
