Frank Conzonire

Loving son, husband and father, Frank Samuel Conzonire died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Oschner Hospital in Baton Rouge at age 85. He was a resident of Ascension Parish and a former resident of St. Bernard Parish. He served in the Army 141st Artillery Unit in World War II in New Orleans. He was a member of the VFW. He was a letter carrier for more than 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Frances Plances Conzonire; son, Robert Frank Conzonire and wife Denise Traina, of Prairieville; and daughter, Joan Conzonire Brown and husband William, of Prairieville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Antonia Strada Conzonire. As per his wishes, Mr. Conzonire was cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements for Mr. Conzonire were entrusted to Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales.
