Ferrel P. "Bay Bay" Braud, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 9:25 a.m. at his home. A native of St. Gabriel, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, he was a retired inspector for SGS Control Services. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting on Saturday at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1022 N. Burnside Ave., Gonzales, LA from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Cornerview Cemetery. Survived by his two daughters, Kay Braud and husband, Bob Dupuy and Paige Braud Ramos and husband, Guillermo "Tony" Ramos; brother, George Braud and wife, Barbara; four grandchildren, Michael Featherston, Clay "C. J." Donaldson Jr., Adam Featherston, and Alexis Martin; and great grandchild, Drake Layne Bougere. Preceded in death by his wife, Claudette Babin Braud; parents, Charles and Lee Ella Braud; and two brothers, Charles Braud Jr. and Gerald Braud Sr. Special thanks to his sitter, Debbie Knighten and Clarity Hospice, especially, Wendi Reed, Katie Davis, and Tolisha Brown for the care given to Mr. Ferrel.
