Evelyn Cook St. Amant passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:45 pm at The Crossing in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 102 years old born on November 25, 1912 in Norwood, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA
She was a beautician and former co-owner of Beauty Bungalo and a member of Little Prairie Baptist Church.
Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 9:00 am until service at 1:00 pm conducted by Rev. Leon Carpenter and Rev. Donald Blanchard. Interment will be at Prairieville Community Cemetery.
Survived by a sister, Hazel Boudreaux of Ponchatoula, LA and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Salassi St. Amant; sisters, Nettie Richards, Effie Cook, Katie Ard, Mary Breaux and Aurelia Narretta; brothers, Clyde, Roy, Sidney, Robert and Floyd Cook.
Pallbearers will be Keith Boudreaux, Glen Stephens, Jerry Narretta Jr., Ronald Paul Cook, Bobby Argrave Jr., Gene White and Beau Cook.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy Cook, Marvin Stephens and Bobby Cook.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Little Prairieville Baptist Church, 40497 Hwy. 42, Prairieville, LA 70769 or charity of choice.
