Eva Vicknair

Eva Mae "Taunt Mae" Vicknair, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her home at 8:16 p.m. A resident and native of St. Amant, LA. She was Rosie the Riveter and very proud to have worked on the PBY Catalina Aircraft during WWII and a seamstress. A former owner of Vick's Backyard Nursery for over 40 years. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Donald Blanchard. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by her four daughters, Bridget (Danny) Stephens, Jennifer (Mike Rousseau) Pitre, Jewel (Gabriel) Gautreaux, and Yvette (Joe) Templet; son, Audie (Kim) Vicknair; sister, Aline Lambert Boudreaux; sister-in-law, Nomie Lambert; eight grandchildren, Melburn (Sarah) Stephens, Dwayne (Shannon) Templet, Gabe (Ashley) Gautreaux, Jamie (Tara) Templet, Aledia (Chad) Sanchez, Ooly (Wayne) LeJeune, Elizabeth (Louis) Lee, and Simmie (Kyle) Soileau; twenty great grandchildren, Whitney (Gabe Gotte) LeJeune, Ryan LeJeune, Jacob Templet, Sarah Templet, Reid Templet, Nina Templet, Cle' Sanchez, Caroline Sanchez, Colton Lee, Haley Lee, Charlie Stephens, Hannah Soileau, Adam Soileau, Taylor Gautreaux, Damien Gautreaux, Kate Gautreaux, Chauncey Stephens, Garrett Stephens, Dylan Stephens, and Jayden Kelly. Preceded in death by her husband, Dolphy A. Vicknair and Archie LeBourgeois; parents, Damien L. and Rosa Marie Lambert; brothers, Sullivan and Raymond "Rambo" Lambert; sisters, Hermine Boudreaux and Earline LeBourgeois; grandson, Joey Stephens; brothers-in-law, Percy Boudreaux, Nobles LeBourgeois, and Marcus Boudreaux; and sister-in-law, Cecila Lambert. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
