Ernest Bueche

A retired correctional officer at Hunt Correctional Facility, he died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at his residence in Gonzales. He was 61 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Cheryl King Bueche; mother-in-law, Barbara A. King; two sons, Ernest Wayne Bueche II, and Trey Matthew Bueche; sister, Jo Ann Bueche Crosby and husband Paul J.; brother, Ty Vaughn Bueche and wife Kyong Hui; niece, Melicia Lemoine; five nephews, Ryan Lemoine, Corey Higgins, Jesse Bueche, Joseph Bueche and Thomas Schroeder; and three dear friends, Robert Brunson, Van Bush and Roy DeMarco. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Josephine Bueche; and sister-in-law, Connie King Higgins.
