Elizabeth Johnson

A resident of Gonzales and a native of LeBeau, she passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River Street in Gonzales on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 5 pm until 10 pm.Visiting will continue on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Internment will be in Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales. She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Frederic and husband Doyle, Sherrie Dencausse and husband Larry, Mona Martin and husband Danny, and Trudy Falgoust and husband Warren one son, Benny Johnson and wife Tina one step daughter, Elva Braud and husband Dennis two stepsons, A.J. Johnson Jr., and Ronald Johnson and wife Phyllis six sisters, Gilda Robin, Bertha Darbonne and husband James, Eula Mae Marks, Ruby Latiolais and husband Raymond, Lucille Dupre and husband John, and Evelyn Bazaar sixteen grandchildren, Chris Leonard, Tammy Leonard, Jade Braud, Ingrid Johnson, Holly Johnson, Ron Johnson, Michelle Lipoma, Julie Brown, Chad Frederic, Allison Laurie, Shaun Templet, Joshua Dencausse, Jonathon Dencausse, Wendi Barnes, Mikki Kelley, Derek Falgoust, Kaitlyn Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Jacob Johnson and seventeen greatgrandchildren. Special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, especially Emma, Dawn, Joy and Ashley. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, August Johnson Sr. her parents, Gerard and Evelyne Stout onesister, Edna Robin three brothers, Joseph, Curley and Thomas Stout one grandson, Dennis Braud Jr. and two daughterinlaws, Sue Powers Johnson and Lorena Simoneaux Johnson. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph
