Edna Blank

A resident of Prairieville, she died early Thursday, January 15, 2009 at her home. She was 84. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2008 at Praise Church, 17005 Airline Hwy, Prairieville, beginning at 8:30am. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Sonny Wahl at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, St. Amant.

She is survived by five daughters; Yvonne Bruno and husband Charles, Diana Akes, Norma Fayard and husband Robert, Debbie Furlow and husband Bubba and Charlene Poche, two sons; Percy Butte and Lynn Blank, Jr. and Gary Blank; two sisters, Della Mae Gonzales and Dora Lee Vicknair, two brothers, Wilfred Jr. and Earl Millet, twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren and forty-six great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy J. Blank, parents, Wilfred and Odella Millet, two sons-in-law, Clifford Akes and Arlen Poche, sister, Ida Mae Weber, two brothers; Ernest and Harvey Millet, infant twin grandsons, grand-daughter, Crystal B. Crawford and grandson Paul Bruno, III. Funeral services are being handled under the direction of Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales. www.ascensionfuneral.com
