Earnest Kinneth Cook of Gonzales, LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 16, 2025. Kinneth is survived by his three children, daughter, Pamela Rena Cook Ballenger and husband Chris, grandchildren, Christopher Macaluso and wife Teresa, Dustin Duplessis and Tiffany Duplessis; son, Marc Allen Cook and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Destiny and Colin Cook; and daughter, Lissa Gale Cook Young. Kinneth is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Taddum, Traeton, and Madison Duplessis and Haley, Caleb, Matthew, and Jude Macaluso, and Kinsley Prejeant. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Humphries of Atlanta, TX; sisters-in-law, Glenda Wall Dayton of Austin, TX and Connie Holder and husband David Holder of Atlanta, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kinneth is preceded in death by his wife, whom he married on March 14, 1959, Dorothy Lee Wall Cook, parents, Lois Hill Cook and Glois Berbert Cook.

Kinneth retired from Wicto Chemical in February 1998, as a welder and supervisor. He loved to coach his daughters in softball and his sons in baseball. He was a Lifetime Member with the Galvez-Lake 5th District Volunteer Fire District, where he received Member of the Year in 1981, Firefighter of the Year in 1982, and Member of Year in 1984.

Kinneth was a licensed minister with World Evangelism Fellowship. He loved to attend church at Family Worship Center where he served as an usher from 2006.

He loved to spend time in his garden.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Ascension Funeral Home, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery.
