Doris Yelverton

Doris Tate Yelverton (93) was born December 27, 1930, passed April 5, 2024.  Preceded in death by her parents John (Sparky) Tate and Bertha Braud Tate, her loving husband of 62 years Reginald E. Yelverton, a daughter Terri Yelverton Lessard, a son Mark Wayne Yelverton and a daughter-in-law Jane Cokes Yelverton. She is survived by her daughters Anita Yelverton Ducote and husband Steve Ducote, Rhonda Yelverton, and son Paul Yelverton.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to any task she took on and worked diligently to accomplish the desired end.  She was acclaimed for her cooking skills which she passed on to her daughters.  She passed peacefully at Ascension Oaks Nursing home in Gonzales, LA.  The family is very appreciative of the love and care that all staff showed to her during her stay there.
