Donald James Torstensen, age 73, of Prairieville, passed away Friday, December 12th, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born July 12, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois to his parents, Gordon and Selma Torstensen.

Don was a Reedley High School graduate, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a dedicated employee of the Fresno Community Regional Medical Center for over 30 years.

After retirement, Don was able to do more of the things he enjoyed most in life. He loved to read, attend classic car shows, watch football, cook, and spend time with his family. He especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren. From games and bowling, to recipe planning, tech talk, and Lego building - It didn't matter what they did, just that they did it together.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Harris Torstensen and Selma Ayoob Torstensen, his brothers Gordon II (Mickey), William, and Jeffery Torstensen, as well as his mother-in-law, Ophelia Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wanda; his daughter, Ashley Greenlee and her husband, Jordan; his grandchildren, Jordan II, Ashlynn, and Noah Greenlee; his brother Peter Torstensen and his wife Karen; sister-in-law Penny Torstensen, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, an abundance of extended family and friends; including his four-legged sidekicks, Shorty and Patches.

Don was an amazingly kind and caring man. He loved wholeheartedly and never met a stranger. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for others. He will be fondly remembered for his friendly demeanor, constant smile and servant's heart. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
