Donald A. "Blinky" Albarez, age 81, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at his home. A resident of Geismar, LA and native of Belle Rose, LA. An Army veteran and retired plumber from the Department of Public Safety & Corrections. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 9:30a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m. conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Burial at Hope Haven, Prairieville, LA. Survived by his sister, Dale and husband, Percy Mabile; three brothers, Junius and Annie Albarez, Terry and Anna Mae Albarez, and Harold Albarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
