Delores Aucoin

A resident of Gonzales, she died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 55. Visitation at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Thursday, Jan. 22, beginning at 9 a.m. Deacon Jimmy Little will conduct the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Head of Island Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Anthony Aucoin; three daughters, Ashley Aucoin, Genevieve Aucoin Gottschalk and husband Andreas, and Jennifer Aucoin Bougere and husband Ronald; four sisters, Elizabeth Murphy and husband Gary, Dianne Vicknair, Sandra Rogers and husband Selby, and Carla Lowe and David D'Armond; brother, Sherman Vicknair; three granddaughters, a grandson and a grandchild expected in August.
