Della Savoie

A resident of Lake, she died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Golden Age Nursing Home. She was 92, a 1932 graduate of French Settlement High School and a native of French Settlement. Visiting at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lake on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. celebrated by the Rev. Boby Alex. Interment in Walls Cemetery, Lake. She is survived by two daughters and sonsinlaw, Jeanette and Ewell Bencaz, and Elaine and Jimmy Little Daughterinlaw, Mary P. Savoie sister, Olivia Liotta nine grandchildren, Susette and Christ Delatte, Jimmy and Connie Savoie, Alan and Lori Savoie, Michelle and Brandy Wheeler, Yvette Bencaz, Michael Bencaz, Jodie and Tim Lobell, Joy and Camile Trabeau and Jamie and Jason LeBourgeois and 17 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Savoie son, Morris Savoie Parents, Joseph and Olive Matherne greatgrandchild. Daniel Savoie three brothers and four sisters. She especially loved gardening and quilting.
