Constance Prater

A native of Anderson, IN and a resident of Gonzales, La, passed peacefully at her home on February 9, 2010. She was 74 years old.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Kenneth L. Prater Sr., her son Steve Lanning of Denham Springs, LA, two daughters Teresa Cripps and husband Rick of Gulfport, MS and Cherisse M. Prater a native of Jacksonville, FL, two brothers Donald Krebs and Thomas Krebs of Anderson, IN. She was a proud grandmother to Justin Cripps, Andrea Lanning and Amanda Lanning. Constance took great care in spoiling her kittykids Angel Baby and Sweetie Girl. She loved growing flowers with her world class green thumb and was always ready for sight seeing rides through the country side. Constance was an avid reader and an active community volunteer over the years. In her many adventures, she has lived in 16 different states, but she always loved the sunny days and the amazing seafood of the south the best.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Krebs, her mother Marie Krebs and her brother Lawrence Krebs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Anderson, IN. Her immediate family will gather in Biloxi, MS and celebrate all 74 years of her blessed life. In lieu of flowers tributes can be sent to St. Judes Hospital in her name.
