Clifford Jack Rice, age 85, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 11:51 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, as the result of an automobile accident. A resident of Prairieville, LA and native of Orange, TX, retired from the Asbestos Workers Local 53-New Orleans. He was an awesome bowler and bowled on many leagues through the years at Circle Bowl, Plank Bowl and Don Carter's. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until service at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pete Wunstel. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory. Survived by his wife, Doloris Rice; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Angelo "Zeke" Nola; brother, Ben B. Rice and wife, Andria; five grandchildren, Chad Young and wife, Allison, Kelly Porta and husband, Ben, Terry Villar and wife, Sandy, Captain Jack Young, USMC and wife, Kristy, and Teddy Villar and wife, Delaine; twenty-six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Hanna; grandsons, Tony Villar and Tyson Villar; and parents, Clifford W. and Grace C. Rice. Honorary Pallbearer, Captain Jack Young, USMC.
