Claudia Solis

Claudia Elizabeth Rodriguez Solis, age 47, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, LA at 1:27 p.m. She was born in Tabasco, Zacatecas, MX on September 5, 1971. She was a very humble, loving woman who dedicated her life to her family. She married the love of her life, Guadalupe, in 1996. They had three beautiful children, Evelyn, Jose, and Idaneth. She raised her children in a house full of love and peace. She did not work in order to be dedicated to her family 24/7. She made sure there was always a clean house to come to and a delicious home-cooked meal after school or work. Her passion was to cook, and she was very good at it. She had a beautiful personality, made friends every where she went, had the best sense of humor, and had lots of love to give. She was very close to all of her family-always on the phone with them. Her only grandson, Daniel, became an even stronger reason for her to live and fight for her life. She raised him and loved him as a son of her own. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visiting on Saturday at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr., Baton Rouge, LA from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Prudencio Garcia Leyva; children, Evelyn Elizabeth Garcia Rodriguez, Jose Guadalupe Garcia Rodriguez, and Idaneth Michelle Garcia Rodriguez; grandson, Daniel Alexander Garcia; parents, Juan Miguel Rodriguez Martinez and Hortencia Solis Sandoval; brothers and sisters, Juan Carlos Rodriguez Solis married to Fabiola Hernandez, Hector Adrian Rodriguez Solis married to Zaida Ramos, Sandra Oliva Rodriguez Solis married to Juan Manuel Rodriguez, and Mariela Lizeth Rodriguez Solis.
