Christine Sholar Aunt Teen Akridge

A resident of Livingston, LA and a native of Galvez, LA passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 7:20 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales, LA. She was 100 years old. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Charles Marceaux, Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery. Survived by one sister, Kearney Babin numerous nieces and nephews, including her great nephew and caretakers, Keith Matherne and wife, Debra. Preceded in death by her husband, Norris Allen Akridge parents, Abner and Allie Broussard Sholar one sister, Roxie Cheshire two brothers: Windle and R. D. Sholar. Pallbearers: W. L. Sholar, Jr., Charles Cheshire, C. R. Babin, Glenn Sholar, Earl Broussard, and Allen Matherne, Jr. She was a member of Broussard Grove Baptist Church.
