Celine Braud

Celine M. Braud, age 95, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Tioga Community Care Center, Pineville, LA. A former resident of Gonzales, LA and a resident of Bentley, LA. She was born in Darrow, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Monday, October 5, 2015, from 12:00 noon until service at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter, Mona Lafoon and husband, Aubrey; son, Ricky Braud and wife, Beth; sister, Hazel Schubhut; five grandchildren, Harlan Lafoon and wife, Amanda, Monica Lafoon, Ricky Braud, Lauren Campbell and husband, Scott, and Devyn Braud; and five great grandchildren, Avery and Logan Lafoon, Jaidon and Audrianna Lafoon, and Annabelle Campbell. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Braud. She and Ernest are together again and now dancing in heaven. Also, preceded in death by her great grandchild, Julia Lafoon; four sisters, Elma Himel, Leah Arceneaux, Bessie Braud, and Edith Heriard; two brothers, Johnny and Phillip Marchand.
