Cecilia Savoy

Cecilia Babin Savoy, age 79, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on November 14, 1937; was a native and resident of Gonzales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed working in her yard, cutting her grass, making puzzles, reading and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Savoy; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Michelle Savoy and Bart and DeShay Savoy; grandchildren, Laura (Lonnie) Falcon, Brady, Seth, Shelby, Kirsten and Jade Savoy; great granddaughter, Hadley Falcon; and sister, Gertie Moran. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Savoy; parents, Joseph V. and Cecile Dupuy Babin; sisters, Ruth Moran, Rose Mary Daigle and Leona Bourgeois. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM, celebrant Fr. Rubin Reynolds. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
